Account Manager

Description:

This position is located in our Eagan, MN office. The role’s responsibilities include communicating directly with customers to enter and process incoming freight orders, and researching and resolving questions and problems, and providing reporting. Previous experience in a customer service or operations role with a trucking company is required.

In addition, this role is responsible to support business improvement by meeting personal and departmental goals and objectives timely and effectively.

• Onboard additional business for existing and new customers
• Establish and nurture relationships with key decision makers at designated customers
• Design solutions to solve customer problems
• Build and maintain Strategic Account plans
• Maintain portfolio P&L
• Own and present at customer business reviews
• Collaborate with Pricing and Trucking on RFPs/Bids
• Support customer spot boards as needed
• Provide mentorship and coaching to other AMs/CSRs as needed

Ideal Candidates:

• 4-5 years trucking industry experience; customer-facing role is required.
• Strategic thinker who is focused on growing business
• Strong communications skills.
• Ability to work in team environment and fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Dependable.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work professionally and effectively with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external customers.
• Ability to make sound decisions.
