Pricing Analyst II

We’re growing and adding an After Hours / Extended Coverage Supervisor to our awesome Extended Coverage team located in Eagan MN. Previous experience working with Over-The-Road Truck drivers in a dispatching, planning and problem-resolving role is required.

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of the after hours / extended coverage staff and shifts for our refrigerated trucking division. In this role you will communicate directly with customers and drivers, handle operational issues, research and resolve problems, provide reporting, and escalate issues as appropriate. You will also assess and evaluate team performance as well as hire and train new team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.

· Lead, develop, mentor and supervise all after hours / extended coverage office staff.

· Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and training as needed.

· Communicate daily with day shift team and manager for updates.

· Manage team work schedule to ensure coverage on shifts as needed.

· Communicate effectively with customers by phone, fax, e-mail, and EDI for scheduling appointments and providing customer service.

· Hire and train new employees.

· Deal with driver issues and resolve issues that must be handled.

· Track and trace all loads based on individual customer demands (communicated by CSR if special instructions)

· Set up relays where applicable to ensure OTD

· Disperse lumper / EFS checks when needed / report funds given out back to CSRs

· Plan drivers on incoming freight assigned by CSR reps

· Recover / reassign drivers to different shipments if needed due to delay, breakdown etc.

· Dispatching drivers via the computer and verbally when needed

· Report out / resolve OS&D issues when they arise and resolve with the customer immediately if at all possible

· Monitor driver messages and respond accordingly

· Verify trailers when needed via trailer grid / monitoring trailer pools when necessary

· Monitor Reefer Tracks alert emails and take necessary actions / track all temp loads

· Document customer feedback and complaints. Refer unresolved customer issues to designated CSM for further follow up.

· Communicate any safety related issues to the appropriate personnel at all times: accidents, MIA drivers, damaged equipment that puts Bay and Bay at risk for a claim, etc.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

· 2+ years in the transportation / trucking industry – Extended coverage experience is preferred

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Work effectively with employees at all levels within the organization

· Strong attention to detail

· Knowledge of safety and DOT requirements
