Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager

To assist with this growth, we are adding a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to our Accounting/Finance department.

Reporting to the CFO, the FP&A Manager works closely with senior management to increase our company’s efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plan.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The FP&A Manager performs a wide range of duties that may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with the leadership team to formulate the business’s medium to long term financial and strategic plan
  • Working with Business Unit heads to build their annual budgets and forecasts
  • Producing models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factors
  • Developing rolling forecasts for different divisions / business units
  • Special Projects as assigned, specifically in the areas of M&A, Process optimization and implementation, Market Research and Capital Allocation
    • M&A:  Providing buy-side support, analysis of potential acquisition targets, integration and divesting activities.
    • Process Optimization:  Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts.
    • Market Research:  Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team.
    • Capital Allocation:  Ideal capital allocation recommendations to Ownership.
  • Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance
  • Utilizing BI tools to delivery meaningful insights into business performance
  • Communicating to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results
  • Providing detailed analysis and  commentary on cost center results
  • Reviewing operations and recommending new productivity or cost saving initiatives
  • Preparing business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Evaluating previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
  • Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations
  • Providing insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Attributes:     

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional qualification such as CA or CPA or CFA preferred
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant analytical experience
  • High level of business acumen
  • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other accounting packages
  • Professional qualification such as CA or CPA or CFA preferred
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the utilization of BI and reporting tools
  • Strong quantitative abilities
  • Able to solve complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm, high energy, ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
