Dispatcher/Customer Service

Full-Time | Logansport, IN, US | Hourly Compensation

This is a full-time position located in Logansport. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a fleet of company drivers to ensure a flawless execution of services for customers. This includes coordinating and scheduling the pick-up and delivery of loads in a timely manner and most cost effective way, as well as ensuring drivers provide excellent customer service. Responsibilities also include communicating directly with customers to enter and process incoming freight orders, and researching and resolving questions and problems.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Dispatch drivers and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. 
  • Obtain daily pickup and delivery appointments with customers, shippers and receivers
  • Register customer orders into our computer system with accurate, timely information
  • Track and trace all load assignments to ensure accuracy of pick up and deliver for time-sensitive freight
  • Collect, document, and pass on accurate information to/from carriers/drivers and team members
  • Document and communicate operational issues to team members and managers
  • Assist in accurately completing accessorial billing items to ensure timely invoicing to the customer 
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Provide back up to fellow team members as needed.

Ideal Candidates for this position will have:

  • Previous trucking industry experience especially managing/dispatching drivers
  • Proficient with computers
  • Knowledge of DOT safety requirements 
  • Ability to tolerate high stress situations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
