Driver Orientation Facilitator

Full-Time | Denton, TX, US

This a full-time position located in Denton, TX. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, normal business hours starting at 7:30 am. The role of the Orientation Facilitator is to facilitate the new driver orientation on a weekly basis. The facilitator’s role is to also ensure the orientation process runs smoothly and according to schedule, as well as ensuring new drivers receive the required training for company, state and federal policies and guidelines in order to be successful in their role as a driver for Bay & Bay.  

Responsibilities include:

• Manage Bay & Bay new driver orientation training.
• Ensure new drivers properly complete company required paperwork.
• Audit orientation lessons for company and governmental compliance and continuous improvement.
• Maintain orientation training records and files.
• Collaborate with orientation stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to deliver effective training.
• Coordinate completion of Road Tests for new drivers if required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience facilitating in a classroom environment preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Previous or current Commercial Vehicle Driver’s license is a plus.
• Strong communications skills.
• Ability to tolerate high stress situations.
• Dependable.
• Ability to work professionally and effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
• Ability to instruct and coach on an individual basis.
• Certified Smith System Behavior training is a plus.
• Familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
• Familiar with TMW TruckMate is a plus.

Physical demands:

• Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, climb, kneel and stoop

• Regularly lift objects up to 50lbs.
