Driver Fleet Manager/Regional Coordinator

Description: This is a full-time position located in Eagan. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating markets, customers, and a fleet of company drivers and independent contractors to ensure a flawless execution of services for customers in a regional setting. This job requires strong planning, customer service, and internal/external communication skills. Responsibilities of a Regional Coordinator also include holding drivers accountable for operating in a safe manner and complying with company, state and federal policies.

Daily Activities Include:

  • Dispatch drivers to ensure efficient use of company fleet and independent contractors.
  • Maximize revenue and productivity of fleet
  • Planning and Customer Service ownership
  • Maintain relationships with Independent Contractors.
  • Maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with government rules and regulations and files paperwork in support of this compliance as needed.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Previous trucking industry experience especially in planning,  managing/dispatching drivers, and dedicated operations knowledge
  • Ability to work closely with recruiting for hiring and retention goals
  • Proficient with computers
  • Knowledge of DOT safety requirements
  • Ability to tolerate high stress situations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work in team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to tolerate high stress situations.
