IT / Help Desk Internship

Bay & Bay Transportation is looking to expand their Information Technology & Marketing team with a sharp, service-oriented, and eager-to-learn IT intern. If you want to become familiar with the industry’s modern and legacy technology platforms, and learn how to deploy and support new tools, then we want to work with you! Candidates should be interested in both systems infrastructure and package/custom software. Throughout this internship you will help plan, install, and support end user systems for Bay & Bay Transportation. 

Daily Activities include: 

• Learn ZenDesk ticketing system and help with simple break/fix support.
• Clean, organize and help manage physical computer assets (laptops, monitors, etc.).
• Provide on-site technical support (90%+ on-site).
• Triage Help Desk tickets, finding answers and getting help as needed.
• Document all work completed in service desk tickets.
• Provide some end-user training to enhance productivity.
• Help with larger infrastructure projects such as Cisco phone system migration, cybersecurity testing/assessments, account creation, and much more.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Education:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for Computer Science or similar.
• Passion for technology and people.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Experience with MS Windows 10, MS Office 365, general knowledge of other common business applications.
