Logistics Pricing Specialist

Description:

The Logistics Pricing Specialist will support our MML Customer Service Department, primarily with the knowledge and expertise in cost analysis, specifically the day-to-day transportation market. The focus will be on in-depth pricing strategies based on current and predicated market trends. 

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and coordinate spot rates and/or quotations for all customer requests via email or customer portal
• Maintain and grow profitability of assigned customer accounts
• Assist with opportunities based on leadership direction
• Work in tandem with Account CSRs to accurately price opportunities
• Anticipate margin implications to meet different market cycles and adjust pricing accordingly
• Implement market strategies to optimize performance
• Must possess strong background Excel
• Must have understanding of typical bid process
• Work quickly and accurately under time constraints
• Must be detail oriented, and excellent verbal and written communication
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in logistics (5+ years), with a focus on market analysis and pricing strategies
• Strong understanding of key account management. – Ability to adapt to market cycles and make data-driven pricing decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with sales, operations, and leadership.
• Detail-oriented with a keen awareness of profitability and margin implications. 
• Demonstrated capability in managing customer accounts to achieve growth targets
