The holiday season is a time for family, for coming together, and for celebrating the joys of life. Yet, for some, emptiness marks this season. They long for the presence of loved ones who have sacrificed for our nation.
Bay & Bay Transportation understands the importance of honoring those who have selflessly served in the military, as well as their families. The holidays can be a particularly challenging time for those who have lost a loved one in the line of duty. It can also be emotionally trying for those whose loved ones are currently in service, protecting our great nation.
Bay & Bay has actively supported Wreaths Across America. We do this to demonstrate our commitment, respect, and love for our nation’s heroes and their families. Additionally, we strive to promote awareness of the sacrifices made by our veterans and actively engage with our community.
Our Partnership with Wreaths Across America
Through our involvement with the Wreaths Across America program, Bay & Bay Transportation will assist in the delivery of wreaths to the final resting places of our military heroes. Specifically, on Saturday, December 16th, we will contribute by delivering loads of wreaths. These wreaths will be delivered to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Arlington is the most esteemed military resting place in our nation.
Our partnership with Wreaths Across America is not just an expression of gratitude but a testament to our shared values. We aim to foster a sense of patriotism among our employees, reflecting our deep-seated commitment to our nation’s heroes.
Volunteering for the Cause
During the holiday season, our drivers and team members join other dedicated individuals. They stand alongside them to place wreaths on the graves of fallen heroes in cemeteries across the nation. We offer our support to the families of these heroes as a sincere tribute. It’s a tribute to those who served our country with unwavering dedication.
The mission of Wreaths Across America is both powerful and poignant: to Remember, Honor, and Teach. The program is run and sustained entirely by volunteers, and Bay & Bay Transportation is extremely proud to be part of this group. On Saturday, December 16th, the concerted efforts of volunteers will ensure that wreaths are delivered to cemeteries in all 50 states. For those interested in attending a ceremony here in Minnesota, a service will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on December 16th, 2023.
